HOW TO PLAY
Capital Combat is an old-school arcade fighter with modern polish. The goal is simple: knock out your opponent, win two rounds, and claim the presidency of the cage. This guide covers every control and the core tactics to get you winning fast.
The basics
From the title screen, choose 1 Player vs CPU or 2 Players, then pick your fighter. Each match is best of three rounds. Drain your opponent's health bar for a knockout, or simply be ahead when the 60-second round timer runs out. First to two rounds wins.

- Tap the big red START button to begin.
- Turn your phone sideways (landscape) and the game fills the whole screen.
Core mechanics
Blocking
There's no dedicated block button โ you block by holding away from your opponent while standing. Blocked hits do a fraction of the damage and barely move you, so a well-timed guard is your best friend against an aggressive rusher.
Special moves
Every fighter has a signature special on a short cooldown โ usually a projectile or a powerful unique attack. The cooldown meter sits under the health bar. Specials win rounds, but whiffing one leaves you open, so throw them with intent.
Jumping & spacing
Jump-ins beat turtling opponents but lose to a well-timed anti-air. Most of the fight is won in the spacing game: hover just outside your opponent's range, then dash in the instant they commit to a move.
Five tips to start winning
- Punch is fast, kick is far. Use punches up close and kicks to poke from range.
- Don't mash specials. Bait a whiff, then punish with your own.
- Block on defense. Holding back turns a losing exchange into a stalemate.
- Watch the timer. If you're ahead late in the round, play keep-away and let the clock win it.
- Pick a fighter that fits you. Heavy hitters reward patience; fast fighters reward pressure. See the fighters guide.
