Make America Game Again
TURNING THE NEWS INTO GAMES
Make America Game Again is a small, independent satire studio with one simple idea: the news is already absurd, so it might as well be playable. We build free browser games that take an irreverent, good-humored swing at world events โ and Capital Combat: White House Showdown is the first one out of the gate.
Why we exist
The headlines move faster than anyone can keep up with, and most of us process them somewhere between a doom-scroll and a deep sigh. We think there's a better release valve: jump in, laugh, and throw a (cartoon) punch. Satire has always been how people stay sane about politics โ from newspaper cartoons to late-night sketches. We're just doing it with sprites, sound effects, and a big red START button.
Our north star is simple: topical, irreverent, and fun โ never mean. We're equal-opportunity. If you're a public figure making headlines, left or right, you're fair game for an affectionate roasting. Nobody is the hero and nobody is the villain; everybody gets the same goofy caricature treatment and the same chance to get bopped in a cartoon cage.
The first game: Capital Combat
Capital Combat: White House Showdown is a 2D arcade fighting game drawn in a modern, smooth take on pixel art. You pick a caricatured political figure and brawl it out in a steel cage staged on the White House lawn, complete with a fictional fight-night promotion (the "FFC"), a roaring crowd, and a jukebox of public-domain American classics rendered as chiptune. It plays instantly in any browser โ desktop, laptop, tablet, or phone โ with no download and no account.
Built for the web, on purpose. Every Make America Game Again title runs in a single browser tab. No installs, no launchers, no 40-gigabyte updates โ just a link you can share and play in ten seconds. That keeps the joke timely and the barrier to a laugh as low as possible.
What's coming next
Capital Combat is release number one, not a one-off. The plan is a growing roster of short, sharp, news-driven games โ each one taking a fresh event and turning it into something you can actually play. Think of it as a satire newsroom that ships games instead of op-eds:
- Quick to make, quick to play. When something big happens, we want a playable take on it while it's still funny.
- Different genres, same voice. Fighting games, racers, tycoon sims, tower defense โ whatever fits the joke. The throughline is the tone, not the genre.
- Always free in the browser. The games stay free to play; the lights stay on through ads and the occasional themed gear recommendation.
If Capital Combat is the pilot episode, the goal is a whole season โ and then some.
A word on parody
Everything we make is satire and parody. The figures in our games are exaggerated cartoon caricatures played for laughs, not statements of fact about any real person. Capital Combat is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any mixed-martial-arts promotion, the White House, or any individual depicted, and the "FFC" league is entirely fictional. It's comedy in the long tradition of political cartooning โ pointed, playful, and aimed at everyone.
