ABOUT THE GAME
Capital Combat: White House Showdown is a free, browser-based 2D fighting game and political satire. Step into a cartoon steel cage set up on the White House lawn and settle the debate the old-fashioned way โ in the "FFC Freedom 250," a wholly fictional fight night.
The whole thing runs in your browser with nothing to install and no sign-up. Pick a caricatured fighter, choose 1-player versus the computer or grab a friend for local 2-player, and brawl across a best-of-three match. The art is drawn in a chunky, modern pixel style and animated with proper wind-up, strike and recovery on every move, and the whole soundtrack โ a jukebox of public-domain American classics โ is generated live in the browser. It plays on desktop, laptop, tablet and phone.
HOW TO PLAY
On a computer (keyboard)
- Player 1: A / D move, W jump, S crouch, F punch, G kick, H special move.
- Player 2: Arrow keys to move and jump, comma punch, period kick, slash special.
- Block by holding back (away from your opponent). M cycles the music. Enter starts and confirms.
- Click the game once first so it receives your key presses.
On a phone or tablet (touch)
- On-screen controls appear automatically: a direction pad on the left, punch / kick / special buttons on the right, and START at the top.
- Turn your phone sideways (landscape) and the game fills the whole screen for the best view.
Winning
Drain your opponent's health bar to score a knockout, or be ahead when the round timer hits zero. Take two rounds to win the match and the "presidency of the cage." Each fighter has a signature special โ fireballs, thrown projectiles, even a freeze attack โ on a short cooldown, so time it.
MEET THE FIGHTERS
A heavy-hitting brawler. Slow on his feet but every blow lands like a wrecking ball, and his signature move sends opponents packing.
A balanced all-rounder in shades. Decent speed, decent power, and a long-range special to keep rushers honest.
The fastest fighter on the roster. Light on damage but quick in and out, with a special that drops the mic โ literally.
The trickster. Longest reach in the game and a freezing projectile that locks opponents in place for a free combo.
